Un....believable

BBC NEWS | World | Middle East | Rice holds talks with Israeli PM

I mean just absolutely incredible.

Iraq invade Kuwait, the west stamps on them, Iraq apparently have WMD, the west stamps on them.

The balkan war, afghanistan etc etc we're more than happy to go trampling all over these countries and regimes but Israel attacks Lebanon and we go and haveĀ  nice cosy chat with the Israelis first.

Sure Lebanon are also to blame, but we're talking about an age long dispute here, with Lebanon having the equivalent of rocks in comparison to the might of the Israeli army, or sorry should I say Hezbollah. I'm finding it increasingly hard who to believe here.

And what amazes me most is that whilst we're busy trampling all over these countries in the Middle East dictating to themĀ  how they should carry out their lives (for that read: how they should supply us their oil) we happily continue to ignore what is happening in Zimbabwe, North Korea etc

How do we let these people who run our countries get away with it? Its hardly encouraging is it, I mean from a purely financial point of view I'm actually worse off since we invaded all these countries to 'protect my freedom' than I am before. Petrol prices are rocketing out of control, and yet Shell, BP etc are posting record profits....We're being sold a huge pile of shite in my opinion.

And the best thing is, I mean the most hilarious thing, is that you ask a Politician these direct questions, and you never ever get an answer. Since when was it ok for Politicians to never give us answers to our questions? Since the last 20 years, since spin became the word of choice.

Its easier now to not answer a question than it is to answer one and we let them get away with it on a regular basis over and over and over.

Hi.I totally agree with you. What I find worst is the fact that its killing people. The death toll is rising but nobody seems to care. The thing is any war should be stopped. Because in a war its always the innocent who dies. But its been more than a week now and I dont see any strong action being taken so I'm expecting Rice's visit was just a perfomance.
